These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Kitchen Notes mobile application (the "Application"), developed and maintained by Bryan Calisto (the "Service Provider"), available on Android via Google Play.
By downloading, installing, or using the Application you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Application. You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Application.
Kitchen Notes is a recipe and cooking-note management application. Core features are free of charge and contain no advertising. The Application also offers optional in-app purchases (described in Section 5) that unlock AI-powered voice command functionality.
All trademarks, copyrights, database rights, and other intellectual property rights relating to the Application — including its design, code, and content — remain the sole property of the Service Provider.
You may not:
To use the Application you must create an account using your name and email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You can permanently delete your account — and all data associated with it — directly from within the Application at any time. Upon deletion, your personal information and synced recipes will be removed from our servers in accordance with our data-retention policy.
The Service Provider strongly advises against jailbreaking or rooting your device. Such actions can compromise your device's security, expose it to malware, and may cause the Application to malfunction or stop working entirely.
The Application offers consumable credit packs as in-app purchases through Google Play. Credits are used to power the AI-assisted voice command feature and are deducted each time the feature is used.
The Service Provider reserves the right to adjust credit pricing or introduce new purchase options at any time. Any changes will be clearly communicated before they take effect.
When you use the voice command feature, your spoken input is captured, anonymized, and transmitted to Google AI Studio (a third-party AI service provided by Google LLC) for processing. The AI interprets your command and returns a result to the Application.

By using the voice command feature you acknowledge and consent to this anonymized data transfer. If you prefer not to share any data with Google AI Studio, simply do not use the voice command feature — all other Application functionality remains fully available.
Your account information (name and email address) and your recipes and notes are securely stored and synchronised using Google Cloud infrastructure, operated by Google LLC. This enables your data to be accessible across sessions and devices linked to your account.
Crash reports are collected via Sentry for the sole purpose of identifying and fixing bugs. Crash reports do not include your recipes, notes, or voice data.
The Service Provider implements appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, but cannot guarantee absolute security over the internet. You are responsible for keeping your device and account credentials secure.
Some features — including cloud sync and AI voice commands — require an active internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data). The Service Provider is not responsible for reduced functionality resulting from lack of connectivity or exhausted data allowances.
If you use the Application on a mobile data connection, your network provider's standard data charges and any applicable roaming charges still apply. If you are not the account holder for the device, you confirm you have the account holder's permission to incur such charges.
You are responsible for ensuring your device remains sufficiently charged. The Service Provider cannot be held liable if you are unable to access the Application due to a depleted battery.
The Service Provider may release updates to the Application from time to time. You agree to install updates when offered, as they may include important security or functionality improvements. The Application is provided for the Android operating system as currently supported; compatibility with future OS versions is not guaranteed.
The Service Provider reserves the right to discontinue the Application at any time. Unless stated otherwise, upon termination: (a) all licences granted to you end; and (b) you must cease using and, if necessary, uninstall the Application from your device.
The Application is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. While the Service Provider strives to keep the Application accurate and up to date, no warranty is made regarding uninterrupted availability, freedom from errors, or fitness for a particular purpose.
The Service Provider accepts no liability for any direct or indirect loss arising from reliance on information produced or retrieved by the Application, including AI-generated responses to voice commands.
The Service Provider may update these Terms & Conditions periodically. When changes are made, the updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Application after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. You are encouraged to review this page regularly.
